A Piece of My Life

Have you ever had to lie so you didn’t get yelled at? Did you ever get made fun of? I know, I’ve had and done those thing and they aren’t fun.   For Ty Lewis it is life for him every day. The main theme is determination in Football Hero.

Reason one for determination is because The stuff Ty goes through around in school and football. The reason of determination is because Ty doesn’t let people really get to him. Like if someone makes a comment on what he is wearing or what he does he brushes it off and forgets about it. 

Second reason for determination is getting made fun of for the job he has for his uncles cleaning business. But when he started playing football it got a lot worse. People started calling him names like, toilet boy and all the bad things you could think of. Ty’s enemy Calvin West started the name calling when he saw Ty at one of his jobs cleaning the toilets. Ty’s brother, Thane was picking Ty up from practice one day and saw that Calvin was cheep shooting Ty and Thane was sick of it.

So Thane showed Ty same tricks that thane used on players he hated. One day at practice Ty put on those tricks and taught Calvin a lesson no not to mess with him ever again. Ty has determined to show his teammates that he deserved to be there. Ty was there to show them that he is one of them but even better than all of  his teammates.

I can relate to this book because a lot of those things happened to me. Things started happening when I switched schools in 3^rd grade. There were name calling and physical stuff started happening. Then when I started playing football people started saying I wouldn’t get anywhere, that I suck, and all that stuff. But I prove myself more than anyone now.

authors note: I'am reading this book for my reading group. so far this is a good book and if you like football books this is one for you.

This is probably the tenth sports book I have read. I'm reading Football Hero by Tim Green for my reading group. So fair it is a good book. It is one of those books that u won’t know what will happen. I think the main character Ty is going to go pro in football like his brother Thane or his nickname Tiger. His brother is suppose to be the third pick to the Jets. But I think there will be a break out. Then that he will live with his brother because of what they do to him.

 Reason why I think those things is because it is like that with like all pro sports players younger brothers. Like the Watt family the reason why they are getting watched is because of JJ Watt who plays for the Texans. But they still have to be able to play good too. But Ty has talent with football too like Thane.

Then the reason I think Ty will tell him the real reason why I think his brother will get custody of Ty. I think why I think Ty will tell Thane is because he wants to live with a real family not people that don’t care about him. Then that Thane will give them same money and their uncle is going to bet or gamble it away. Thane then will finally see why Ty is a shy and not talking person.  

But I think there will be a twist in it. The reason I think this too is because his uncle made a bit with a mob boss that if Thane doesn’t go to his bar he is going to come after the uncles family and Ty. Because they made a promise with his uncle that if Lucy (the mob boss) got Ty to go with Thane to the draft to get Thane to work with Lucy at his bar.

The smell of the smoke coming from the fire that is going full blast in my back yard and the fear in the air after the varsity football game. A full moon shining hard and the puffing clouds that are floating there. My and friends decide to play a night game that night. We fight till we decide in between ghost in the grave yard or haunted gray wolves. We settled on ghost in the grave yard. I was it so I had to find them and tag one of them.

We were playing for ever till a scary object kept moving in the yard and in the woods next to my house. So everyone was scared and didn’t want to play. Well me being me, I go to investigate what they kept reporting. All of a sudden I found what I’m looking for. All I see is  a white face, no body. I ask him who he is. He turns around and starts walking towards me. Out of the blue he disappears. I lose it and start running back to where my friends were. 

 Fright in everyone's voice, everything stops for a bit. So I enter my garage to get something to drink. All of a sudden I hear same thing moving. I approach with caution. I just cross the line from my drive way in to my garage. As soon as I pasted that line there was a white face right in my face. I will admit it I did scream like a little girl and ran way like a little girl. 

The game went on for around a hour till I figured out that it was my older brother Matt. One of my friends decide that now we know who it is so lets  tackle him. Well the idea went so so. We tried to take him down but you got to remember that he is on the varsity  football team and he is a beast. He took down all of us at once. So that show the wrath of my brother. 

After we figured it was him it wasn't that much fun anymore. Of course my mom was frantic that my brother was going to hurt one of us. The reason why is because he was throwing us like rag dolls. It is always the parents that stop the fun. That wouldn't be the last time we are attacked by Slender Man, Michael Meres or better known as “The Blaze”.

authors note: this is a retell of the hunger Games. I wrote is to show the type of writing is retelling 

The Hunger games is a book series of love, violence, trust and about a girl that volunteers to flight to the death against other people from the other districts. It is of course a fictional story, but you can compare it to our Wars. Through out the book people of the districts start to realize how crazy it is for kids to fight each other to the death for war not to break out in between the districts and the government. In the end both of the main characters win the brutal Hunger Games. But that will not be the last of their troubles. 

the day of the living dead

have you ever been in a grave yard? there is a feeling of eyes on you and it feels like your not a lone there. those are same really creepy things. when you look up you are hoping nothing is there in front of you like a dead body. then all of a sudden there was a shift in the ground the ground is starting to peel like a banana. it is the the living dead. i run home and grab the guns that are in my house and tell my parent we have to go now. they think i am crazy till they are knocking on the winds. we go to the gun shop to get same good gun but they were all gone. so we take all the ammo we can and get our grandpa and grandma.

" I thought this would ever be possible", I say. they all reply with " a frantic " same". a year later we are all still alive and well. we had still plenty of stuff and there were still plenty of zombies. ten year later i am 30 years old and im totally done. I am surrounded. all of a sudden they all just die. I took my knife and cut their throat just to make sure. 1 year later. the fight is over life is re established in the U.S.A.. I am by my self now but i should know how to take care of myself is i lived throw the day of the walking dead.

The conflict in this book is person vs self. The reason i think that is because what happened to her at that party is really something no one can help her with. It was same what her fault for what happened because she was drinking. I feel bad for Melinda  because she lost all her friends because they found out that she called the cops.

I the way it resolution is that she made new friends and that she trusted them enough to tell ivy what happened that night at the party. The amazing thing is that ivy had same thing happen to her too. the messed up thing is that it was happened from the same person. after she talked about it she found out that she wasn't alone. when she started telling people what happened it was like the pressure fell off her chest and she could live life freely again.

the founding fathers

If I could travel back in time and ran into the founding fathers I would ask them to many questions. Why is there a republican and demarcate party, what is the real point of taxes, and why to really start war to probably no end.

The reason I would ask them why the two different parties is why for it? I know everyone has different thought but what is the point of it. I think it’s because it is easier to make the running for the president. It is easier to say instead of saying every  ones name too.

Then why the reason for taxes? I understand they help pay for government programs and for all the goods we buy and trade. But what is the really reason we pay taxes and bills. Because what are they going to do with the power bill, are they going to give it to mother nature or something.

Finally why to start wars. What was the need for slaves to do our work because you’re the one making the money not them. Then you think why we needed to  start a war and not just agree to let everyone be free. But at that time they had something like two president instead of one like it is now. The crazy thing is that the civil war was something that brought the country closer together.

Well we got to think what would of happened if all this history didn’t happen. What would it be like, would the world be In tragedy or in peace for once. It’s those question you have to ask and think about.  

cause and effect

Authors note: this was a big thing that happened in my life.

There was a big cause and effect in my life. It was when I came from “St. Anthony’s on the lake” to the "Pewaukee". I came here in 3th grade and there was been plenty of problems.

The problems were making new friends, getting picked on for being the new kid, and the new rooting of a bigger school. All the way to 6^th  grade I was picked on. Then the day came were I was sick of it and telling the teachers  wasn’t working out.

So one day I called a fight to end it once and for all. I knew that I could win if the other people watching wouldn’t interfere. I only fought one of the many bullies to send a point to all the other ones.

It must of worked because now we are friends. If the fight didn’t happen I would probably still be getting picked one. And if I didn’t switch schools I wouldn’t have as many friends.

the thing that changed my life

The sensation of eyes on you, the feeling of same one behind you when there is no one.  That’s what I feel since I went to Gettysburg.

It was a cloudy day till around five in the afternoon. Me, my brothers, and grandpa and grandma were going to visit little round top, big round top, and devils den. Little round top is where my great, great grandpa fought in the civil war.  My great, great grandpa was hurt by getting shot in his leg or arm. A few years later he died from infected wounds.

Very interesting devils den was one of the most bloodiest battles of the civil war. It was around seven or eight when we were in devils den. That is when stuff got interesting with me and something around me. There was a hard push that made me trip forward. So I instantly looked for anyone that could of pushed me that hard. There was nothing, everyone was playing on the big rocks that laid there.

Then I spot my grandma about ten yards away. She was taking pictures of the stuff around her. So I told her to take a picture were I was just standing. So she did. A white figure was right where I was standing.  After a second my grandma took another picture in the same spot and the figure wasn’t there anymore.

For now one I feel eyes on me at that time of the day. It is one of those things you will never forget till the day you die. I  believe in ghosts 99.9%. if you don’t if you were me you would change your mind like I did.  

hunger games conflict and resolution

authors note: i wrote about this because it was probably one of the best book series i ever read.

 The hunger games 

The conflict in my book is person vs. person. The reason it is person vs. person is because  the main character katniss has to fight against other people for their lives.   But at the pickings for the two people from district 12 something back fired. The boy contending with katniss has a crush.

Then they both find out that only one comes out alive.  Throw out the game katniss and the boy spit. Then when they hear that both people from the same district can come out victors. The resolution is that katniss found the boy and they both make it out alive.

Gym candy is about a teen that loves to play sports. but his favorite is football. his is the best in his class and one day he gets his chance to really prove himself to everyone. everyone thinks  is just a punk kid like his dad was, and his new coal knew his dad from when they played football ageist each other. then his coal doesn't let him off easy. and at the end it all pays off for him.
