Everyone's Dream

What would you do if you live in the bad part of New York? That’s were the main character seventeen-year-old Lonnie Jackson lives in the book Hoop.  Walter Dean Myers wants people to know you can do anything you put your mind too. Then that it doesn't matter where you live or who you are, you can always fallow your dreams if you try your hardest.

Although Lonnie Jackson is in the ghetto he lived his life by playing basket ball. The reason is because ever sense he was little he dreamed of playing in the NBA. That shows to never give up on yourself because where you live. Then that people can't bring you down on something you want to do.

Even though he never made it in the NBA, he still tried his hardest to make it in the NBA. This brings up; you can do whatever you put your mind to, but you have to work hard for whatever your going for in your life. I am like Lonnie Jackson because I want to go pro in some sport to so day. But I know that I have to do well in school and work my hardest in that sport to go far in it.

When or if you watch pro sports players how do you think they got there. Even with college players they had to work really hard to even get there. So know imagine the guys that are getting paid millions of dollars. Then you really have to be committed to what you’re doing. Well maybe Lonnie didn’t work hard enough because he thought it would just happen like magic.

In order there are going to be ruff times with being famous too. So really think know would it really be worth it?
