Unbroken
Authors note: The rough and tough life from a thief,
to a mad man runner, to the air of war. Can Louie survive death at its fullest
it the deep, dark, shark infested Pacific Ocean.
How would you survive in war
and life? How would you feel if you were the one that was watching out for 8
other men that your plane held? [1]There
was around four hundred thousand soles ( lives ) taken during World War II. Unbroken
is a true story of survival and shows how everything can be taken away at any
moment.
In the beginning Louie Zamperini grew up being
a really sneaky kid. Pulse he was growing up during the great depression. Louie
stole many things from neighbors and got away with it because of his
sneakiness. But got in plenty of trouble with his parents and with the law.
Even getting so sick of people, his friend and Louie ran away from home and
hopped on a train and went to the west, till they turned back for home because
they missed their families greatly.
After
a while, Louie found what he really had in him. The thing he found was his
speed. He was so fast and great at running he broke school records like they
were nothing. Louie even went to the Olympics for his running right before
Hitler started his march across Europe.
Everything
turned when he heard of the Olympics where going to get canceled. Louie got out
of shape and couldn’t run far for a good time anymore. But there was a answer.
He heard that the Air Force needed men. The turning point really came after his
crew got shot up and the men that could still fight were transferred to a
different flying squad with a different plane. The mission was to search the
pacific for a downed plane and its crew, but Louie and his crew get stuck in
the middle and have to fight to survival in the deadly Pacific.
As you
can see everything can be good one second, then the next there is chaos. Just
because this happened in a wars doesn’t mean anything. But don’t think that
ways because you see it every time you watch the news, a shooting here, a
shooting there, fatal car crashes, and fatal fires. Everyday could be your
last, so live it up to the max.
